I'll one up that: I dub thee "Bastage" ...
That is one helluva bike. I can see why you'd be careful around the wife; with the size and value of your stable the ice could get thin real fast like.

LOL! Yeah, she's been really understanding over the past decade. Just recently she's started to get wise to my addiction and has been working the system. Now everytime I swoon over a bike, she comes back with a picture of a puppy that needs a new home...we now have 4 dogs. Yeesh!
I'm regretfully selling 3 rigs out of the stable to acquire a new endurance racing bike. One modern classic, one vintage classic, and one vintage beater.
*sigh*:o

I'm just pleased that there's a few others that have as many (or more) spiffy bikes than I do, I was feeling conspicuous.

I have yet to decide if I enjoy rocky's collection of bicycle image more than his collection of megawatt smile pics such as these:

More megawatt smiles can be found in this thread (http://www.dirtragmag.com/forums/showthread.php?p=172705#37). I'll de-clutter this favourite bike thread and move the smile appreciation thread over to the Girls Rock (http://www.dirtragmag.com/forums/showthread.php?p=172705) thread.
The drop dead coolest bike (http://www.dirtragmag.com/forums/showpost.php?p=171092&postcount=22) I own that I can't ride (it's only a 16" frame) is that autographed Vertex TeamSC bike from 2005 that has 2 World Cup gold medal wins and a Commonwealth Games gold medal under its belt. It's still in the "as raced" condition from the 2005 season and first two races in 2006. I ended up buying it earlier this year.
And just for the record, my appreciation for Rocky bikes was entrenched many years before they added Marie-Helene Premont to their race team in 2004. :D

-Rob.Now you're getting the sense of what some 20,000 spectators at Mont Sainte Anne feel every year. Home town gal does good. :D

Wife hell. I've ridden that bike three times. Next time I'm on it, I'm heading for Montana to live in a tee-pee. Just me and that bike. That's all I really need. ;-)

My LBS that feeds my Rocky habit also sells IF and Moots. I haven't seen any Ti MTB IF frames come through their shop, a few steel IF MTB frames, and lots of exquisitely built IF Ti road frames. They do make beautiful frames.

ooh, boone ring. does middleburn use the shimano or truvative spline?
i dont feel so bad about you talking bout selling your other IF since you got more than one. but on the other hand i know how after many battles a race rig and human soul can become one.

Middleburn can come with their own proprietary spline (which is what I have with the Boone made to match their spline), or it can come with Shimano. Middleburn is just so damn sexy. And it is one of the few cranks that comes with a warranty covering DH, Trials and racing!
I hear you on the bike and rider becoming one. My first IF had that effect on me. Everytime I swing a leg over the toptube I get the feeling like I'm hanging out with an old friend.
