Last night I finally got into Albuquerque and after renting a car, I drove to the microbrewry to meet my friend who'd been waiting for a while (plane was very late out of Atlanta).

Anyway, had a KILLER turkey sandwich called the "Albuquerque Turkey". Real turkey (not cold cuts) with mayo and GREEN CHILI (the quintessential New Mexico ingredient). Super tasty! Washed down with a pint of Scottish Ale (a dark, hoppy brew). A very good meal after a long, torturous flight from Atlanta.

Shhhhudder! My stomach just did a flip-flop after reading: "really bad fried chicken."

Yeah, my stomach is literate.

And this morning, I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he fit in my pajamas, I'll never know.

Speaking of airport food:

I went to New Orleans and asked,"Where was a good local place to eat?" The response I got was "Popeye's Chicken." I said I had them back home, but was told it's different in New Orleans and is really good. So I ate there on my way out at the Louis Armstrong Int'l Airport. Not bad.

Any of you in Southeastern PA should check out Molly MacGuires in Phoenixville (recently opened). OK beer selection and good food (the boxty of the day is always a tasty choice).

If any of yinz ever ride the C&O through Hancock you have GOT to go to The Lockhouse. The food is beyond outstanding (don't ask me to pick a favorite-I like 'em ALL!) the service is beyond compare, and the fully stocked bar always has a couple of good microbrews on tap.

Cripes, if I was rich I'd probably live there.

Unfortunately i've been vegan for 12 or so years and have never really gotten to eat bar food. Sorta feel like i'm missing out on the whole Manly Bar Experience. Luckily, it's getting cool to be veggie so more places are serving up vegan vittles other than peanuts-The Church, PJ's, DoubleWide, LavaLounge in PGH, and a bunch in Philly.

Rick, where in Phoenixville is said establishment? I'm from the area and visiting Mom this week.

Anybody got any vegan friendly bars in their neck of the woods?
