I happened across this today...Rawlands 650b (http://www.rawlandcycles.com/store/index.php?strWebAction=item_detail&intItemID=3421)
This is what I have been thinking about for all the dirt roads and gravel paths that are in my area. Now, I just have to start saving, or hope to find a comparable ride cheap.

they were very nice looking in person, good attention to detail without being over the top.

It seems like there are way too many spacers on the steer tubes of these bikes. Is that safe? I thought the recommendation was 5-40mm. The picture looks like about 80mm.

Looks like a tiny frame with a low top tube to achieve a decent stand over. I guess a sloping top tube wouldn't look as pretty :p

Or they didn't want to run a MTB style high rise stem.
The top tube/head tube intersection is already about 2" below the top of the headtube.
