This was quite a lineup Joni had in 1980. They're playing a great Mingus tune. I think Joni wrote the words. Jaco was a monster may he RIP. Michael Brecker is there on Sax too. He died last year.

Can't really listen to Pat Metheny any more. Too light. Jaco is a huge loss but was a train wreck long before he died. I know a guy who saw him panhandling for heroin in NYC. he guy said,"WTF are you doing! You're Jaco" Jaco spit at him.

I saw this band in Providence the summer of 1979, awesome allstar lineup. I still have the t shirt. May have to get the DVD. Check out "Black Crow". PM appeared in Boston later (year?) on a double bill w/Miles Davis, RIP.

The guitar tracks on my old bands cd were recorded with Pat Metheny's guitar. the guy who owns the studio bought it and let us use it for recording.

That's pretty cool. Was it an F-hole hollowbody Gibson?
