So I want a new saddle, and I like the look and human effort that goes into a brooks leather saddle, but how does one feel? I haven't seen any in my LBS's, so the internet is my only option. Are they worth the price in comfort as well as style?

well i have said it im sure alot of people have said it but you have to base your saddle on what it feels like when your bottom is on it and people can give you input on what they think and thats great but in the end the only way to figure out if the saddle is right for you is if you try it out

I've got a b17 on my crosscheck (for non-cross season use). Great across-town saddle, needs a lot of break in. If you want the look and mystique, great. Otherwise, a WTB laser V is similar fitting, lighter, and (at least) equally comfortable.

I have two, a sprung Flyer and a B-17 honey. Never judge a man (or woman) until you've ridden 100 miles in their Brooks Saddle. Like any long-term relationship, Brooks saddles need lots of caressing and a little lubrication.

+1. I've got the same two saddles and love them. I like your analogy on how to care for them.
