OK, most of you have been trapped in TV rerun land with your writer's strike thing. But up here in Canada, we have people writing like mad, including Douglas Coupland (that Gen-X guy) and also the Microserfs guy. His book J-pod (http://www.coupland.com/books/books13.html) (all about life inside of Electronic Arts) has been made into a TV show on CBC (http://www.cbc.ca/jpod/). This is a terrific adaptation of the book which was weirdly quirky to say the least. And it is very funny.

Maybe it will find its way south of the border, it's well worth the look.

It's also available to download via bitTorrent. You can do a search via Mininova.org.

It's a pretty good adaptation of the book though I just finished reading Jpod so it's a bit fresh in my head to be seeing the story retold on the little screen.

His new one, The Gum Thief is a pretty amusing book too. It's set in the Staples that I buy all my office supplies from. That's the weird thing about Douglas Coupland's novels. I recognize all the locations.
