Am about 1/2 through "Fly Boys" by James Bradley. It's about navy pilots and their exploits attacking WWII era Japan. Focuses on 8 of the guys who were downed, executed and whose bodies' were cannabalized. Great book, and well written, but is really hard to read at times. Anyone else read?

You mean the Imperial Japanese practiced cannibalism? Sick!

About the island right next to Iwo Jima, right? Yes, very interesting book. As I recall, G Bush was involved somehow. It has been a few years.

Yeah, called "chi chi jima". Bush was downed there but rescued by a sub. Have TREMENDOUS respect for the guy having read a good part of this book; all politics aside.

Just read Baa Baa Blacksheep and the Chesty Puller story. Now I am reading a history of the French Foreign Legion. May look for the Flyboy title.
