i just started riding as a means of workout and getting myself healthier. now im absolutely HOOKED. i used to ride on the street a few years ago, had a non-bike related groin injury that took me out of the game for a couple of years; but now i just got back into it. im eager to learn more about the sport here on the forum. just wanted to say whats up!

BS or SS (or fixed)? You'll get lots of the last two, and a bit of the first one.

Expect lots of sand and grit while shucking oysters for pearls (of wisdom) but the pearls are here to be found. Sorry, I couldn't think of any more convoluted metaphors.

Welcome to the 2 wheeled dirt riding, pedalin' club.

Mountain biking is so much fun that I forget that I'm working out and improving my health* when I do it.

Great side effect.

*the occasional crash notwithstanding

You'll get better at riding that trail and sand and various conditions the more you ride it. Sometimes you just have to right line and the right technique. Learning those sometimes involves eating sand, dirt or mud.

Sometimes the alternative route is the best one, other times...not.

I like to challenge myself to ride trails I initially wasn't sure I could ride. I sometimes crash over and over until I figure out a way to make the trail work.

yeah im definetly going to hit the trail again. there wasnt a LOT of sand, just enough to make certain parts aggrivating. i dont mind getting dirty though. its all part of the game.

You did good for a starter bike. Not too many better options for a few hundred bucks, it'll last you as long as you want it to!
Welcome to the fold.

Actually no. But it does depend on the reasons why you ride.

Stay tuned.
