View Full Version : 16" (wheel) Freeride

Below are the bikes my kids have been riding since last Fall. First one is a 16" Haro with dual crown 20" front suspension, the second is a 16" Trek with an SR 20" suspension fork.

They refer to them as Trials bikes, as that's how they like to use them, but essentially they just try to ride over everything they can! Both are geared-down, but retain a coaster brake, so they are still fun to ride on ramps...

The plan for this summer is to build a few stunts in the backyard, with stepped heights so they can get used to drop-off's.

Awesome! Start 'em young :D

My Nephew graduated to a 20" wheel the February and I look forward to many miles of singletrack. That kid loves to ride a bike :cool:
