Anyone know of a charity to donate bike parts too? One that will put the parts to good use for getting kids on bikes or keeping a commuter fleet going?

Here is an interesting article, though it is a couple of years old. I'd heard about something like this and did a google search.

on the opening pages of www.dirtragmag.com
is a article on trips for kids

that might be a good charity, even if you have to start one in your area

YMCA in San Antonio is always looking for stuff. if you head over to www.bikemojo.com and check out the forums, i think the guy's name is Alan....well, you can search for posts concerning the YMCA if you want.

I've often advocated for some sort of vigilantism relative to bike thievery. Short of lynching as in horse thieves, a "fine tuning" might be in order.
If you're interested Opie, I have an old Schwinn Worldsport I could sell you cheap. I'd let her go for what I have in her in terms of parts...<$200 + shipping.
Seriously.
If you're interested in a vintage 27" wheeled sport-tourer, that is.

We typically donate to the local bike co-op or the men's shelter.
