Desperate for Female teammate

For all you southeastern female mtbrs:

I and three other girls are hopefully doing a 5 all female team in the 24HOA in Conyers, GA the weekend of Oct 18-19. A couple of girls had to drop out for one reason or another and that is why we are down to only four girls right now. We need one more girl to join us.

Our attitude towards the race is pretty casual. We are not over competative but we do want to do our best. We are hoping each team member will be able to ride at least 4 laps for a team total of 20. If anyone rides more it will be icing on the cake!! This course is fun yet challenging so we are looking for an intermediate mountain biker. I don't think a beginner mountain biker would enjoy herself or be able to do four laps on this trail.

Finding a 5th . . . heard there is some good riding out your way. We'll be racing the 24 hours of Moab the same weekend - cross fingers for great weather all 'round, eh?

Stumpy I was going to suggest that you post something on the Adrenaline message board but it appears that you already have.

So on to my next suggestion (given my track record you may have thought of this as well)...

Start hitting the shops around town, including REI if you are not far from the one up near Norcross. You are bound to find someone who knows someone who knows someone.

Cyclenaut....thanks for the ideas but I have alreaedy exhausted those. I am very active in SORBA and all the girls I know who couild be on the team are already committed to other teams. Also, I know the mechanics at the REI Atlanta store pretty well and I am planning to run by there today. I did get a couple of replies from my post on the Adrenalin site so hopefully one of those girls will want to join us.

I feel so unorganized with this last minute stuff but I think it will all come together.
