Hi friends, I am 28 years old. I kept the weight off until my wife had a baby and I gained a lot of weight. I am now 80lbs over weight and am in the second week of my starvation diet, I feel wonderful I notice the pounds slipping off and am in no way dizzy, tired, and am not bothering myself with regular workouts. Is it good for my health? Have you got any other diet plan? Please tell me.

3 minutes without air=dead
3 days without water=dead
3 weeks without food=dead

tell us how you're doing in 3 weeks.

i think that's an eating disorder called anorexia. you might want to just eat within reason and get more exercise to loose weight.

The scientific evidence is that starvation diets trigger a starvation reflex, so your body is primed to put it all back on as soon as you eat again. You need to reduce your intake and eat a proper diet and get some exercise.

1 pound of body fat = 3500kcal and most adult males have a daily intake requirement of 2500-4000kcal/day (depending what you do for a living). So you need to figure out what your intake has been, and then throttle back on intake and set a realistic goal for loss of body fat.

Yeah, starvation diets are incredibly dangerous. They can mess with your metabolism, screw up your organs long term, and compromise your immune system. Add to that the fact that your muscles aren't worth sh*t right now, so any activity you undertake will cause joint and muscle pain. Diets like that - in fact most if not all diets - are temporary solutions to long-term problems. If you want to be healthier, you have to make changes long term. Don't do a diet -- make changes to your regular diet (i.e., eat better foods in smaller portions more often) and take your time losing that weight so that the changes stick. Otherwise, you'll either gain it all back when you can't sustain the diet any longer or you could even land yourself in the hospital with some pretty severe disorders.
