View Full Version : RealRyder - A Breakthrough in Indoor Cycling

RealRyder
05-01-2008, 08:18 PM
The RealRyder was introduced March 6th-8th at IHRSA(International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association) in San Diego, California. It was no doubt the biggest hit of the show. This bike not only gives you a cardio workout and strengthens your legs, but it also strengthens your core and upper body, while improving your balance. It does this by having a unique articulating frame that allows it to steer, turn, tilt and feel like an actual road bike. No longer are you simply just pedaling on a rigid stationary indoor cycle. This is the first real breakthrough in indoor cycling in 20 years. Check out our website at www.realryder.com.

Jeremiah-I am so glad that you are going to check back in. Because I want to know why you just don't buy some ad space and support this forum instead of milking it for your commercial gain? I looked at your website, but until I see you advertising on this forum or in the rag itself I wouldn't consider buying anything from you. Peace!

It's also an indoor roadie trainer, hardly good training for riding a mountain bike.

I'd rather go ride a bike.

one question though: how is this product better than a set of rollers that converts any bike you already own into an indoor trainer complete with the need for balance, for quite cheap? Looks to me like it would be something more suited to indoor gym facilities than in a cyclist's stable.

Jeremiah:

Are gym-bound fitness people great appreciators of the irony present in your trademark, or are they simply not aware of it?

Thanks!

So how many road miles did you log last year?

So how many road miles did you log last year?Likely about 1000 pavement miles riding to and from the dirt trails. Plays hell with the knobs on the Nevegals.

I don't recall ever seeing Nevegals on a road bike. Still, riding is riding. A half hour just mindlessly cruising the neighborhood beats the crap out of staring at the boob tube. And a thousand miles sounds like a lot until you break it down. That's about twenty miles a week, or less than three miles a day. Still, I can't believe it doesn't benefit your overall fitness.

So what's my point? Search me. Maybe it's "Bikes good. Me like. Everyone ride".

What was this thread aboot anyway, eh? Damned if I remember. Serves me right for posting sober.

Rockyrider, don't be a h8r. Davkatreb here is making a lot of sense. If I didn't commute 3 times a week on my Nishiki I would not be able to hang with the young'ns like I do on the trail come weekends. Sure, the upper body isn't as prepared for the jarring, but legs feel damn good.

Play nice, gentlemen.

what if the show is NOVA and the topic is Twin Prime Conjecture?

Prime is the number
that is only divisible by itself and 1.
They have no other factors.
Though they may have their detractors,
they are kind of fun.

It still does nothing to help your fat ass. What, you quit selling chintzy Chinky bikes and now you're in the TV bidness? Let us know how that works oot, eh.

Now that isn't even close to cool. This is the ultimate in indoor training. http://www.h-p-cosmos.com/en/applications/cycling/index.htm
Wicked cool! If I only had and extra $150k kicken around.
You can even inline skate on it.
