XT 8spd shifter slipping

When I down shift with my thumb the shifter will slip through........however when I apply upward pressure it will shift. I took it apart but looks like nothing can be adjusted.

Is it time for me to buy a new one or is there some way I can rig it to work a little while longer?

he he he .. can you say "Swiss watch". I made the mistake of trying to fix an XT shifter pod once. That is what I like about Sram, you can make their stuff work even when it is broken. However, the twist shifters hurt my wrists.

I fixed it.........spent 42 buckaroos at speadgoat and got a new one. That wasn't to diabolical
