hey guys new on the forum, relatively new to mtb. I used to race motorcycles and would ride bikes in the off seasons for fitness. Since I cannot race anymore I have fell in love with mountain/trail biking. I just got talked in to Titus Racer X last week, and I enjoy it a lot, as I orginally thought about racing. As I learn more about the sport I am 2nd guess my purchase because of the xc style bike. I am still interested in racing xc but have a new found interest on DH and Freerides. Should I switch bikes, get different forks or can the rx handle the jumps and bumps?

A Racer X is definitely a light XC race bike and wouldn't be at all well suited to DH/freeride use. Even if the frame survived, the geometry and components are not up to that sort of use. If you want to do both types of riding you're gonna want 2 different bikes that are optimized for each type of riding.

Round out your Titus collection with an El Guapo

If you break the Titus, you will wait a long time for a warranty frame.
