probably. seat position is very personal, one that works for one person could be totally wrong for another. seat choice is very personal as well, you might want to try another. I hear good things about the Specialized Body Geometry saddle for a general overall good fit. I personally don't like them but MANY people do.

Make sure your seat is set level , or the back is set slightly higher than the front . Too soft padding can actually be worse because excess padding mushes up into the space between your sit bones and puts pressure on those nerves . I like seats with the center channel , like WTB or Specialized . I have a Nashbar seat too ,with the center cutout that I think is just great . I bought a bike thay came with a Fitzic Plateau seat that was ok for about 15 or 20 minutes but was too soft . Somebody gave me a Fitzic Dolomite that looked almost exactly alike but was firmer and better for long rides .

I had the same problem with all the saddles I've ridden on.

After trying out the SMP Strike line of saddles, http://www.chicagolandbicycle.com/selle_smp_saddle.htm, I won't ever look back. I have it both on my mountain and road bike.

I experienced a similar problem a few years ago.

Take a look at the relationship between your seat height and your stem. If you are leaning over too much because your stem is either too low or too long, you are crushing your "junk" with every pedal stroke.

A shorter and / or lower stem might relieve some pressure.

Hope this helps.

That Selle SMP saddle looks interesting... maybe we can get someone here to test it on their junk...

Second the recommendations of Specialized or WTB, or anything with a channel cut out down the center.

And yes, positioning is important! What Scott and NiceItalianBoy said about that is good advice.
