I am putting the finishing tocuhes on my SS campus commuter... I am now looking into racks and packs. Does anyone out there have any info on the Topeak line of packs and racks... Do the packs slide and lock into the racks with no problem? or is this just a waste of money.... give me some ideas!

In a former life I spent a year as a mechanic and had some experience with the Topeak racks and bags you are talking about.
It's a very nice system and the bag stays put nicely once you lock it in place. The lock is more of a latch to keep the bag in place so if you are concerned about theft then look elsewhere.
My only criticizism of the the system is that the rails and grooves that allow the pack to mate to the rack are a little small so I could see them getting worn over time IF you constantly took the pack on and off.
