This is it. It's getting cross tires fit on it tonight until I can get the winter beater up and rocking, but this is what I rode today.
Heh... both miles. Monday is easy.

This is my commuter to be, It is a 1960 Rudge (http://home.nycap.rr.com/richboat/rudge1.jpg) (english) I found in a dumpster 3 weeks ago, even has the orginal front hub generator ,head light and tail light (works too) the best swag is always in the trash dumpsters.
I'm looking for an orginal front fender for it and mustache bars ( the drops are not orginal) The rims are badly rusted, I'm thinking of replacing them with some 29" (700d) rims. I'm also going to put wire basket panniers on the rear for doing grocery runs

I don't know why anybody in this town wouldn't ride a Surly. If you go to the Strongarm swaps you can find stupidly discounted frames from the guys that work at QBP. I got that frame and fork for like $140 cuz it didn't fit somebody. The stem and handlebar came with it for another $5.
Gotta love this town. Were you at the last Strongarm event, Clark?
btw, mudfly, that bike kicks ass. The sweep on that fork is to die for.

This is also posted on the fixie thread, but here's my new commuter. Its first real ride was the ten mile ride in to the office this morning. 48x18 gearing... hovers just over 18lbs with the current build.

I commute on an On-one Tinbred cross bike. Sadly I am moving house this weekend and my off-road commute will become a distant memory :(

There should have been a pic with my last post! Try again, if it doesn't work there are some more pics here (http://www.simonbarnes.net/photos/biking/Ti%20Cross/) that were taken after the initial build (changed disks and stem since then).
