just looked at the surly site but didn't see it - does surly sell the KM fork a la carte? I am looking for a rigid 29er fork with disk tabs and thought this would be a reliable affordable option. If it is available, anybody know the price?
On a some what related note, I just want it known that I am jealous as H - E double hockey sticks of those who live near surly HQ and get wicked deals off the employees. Surly represents everything a bike company should be - excellent utilitarian bikes at an affordable price.
that and I want santa to leave me a jethro tule in my stocking this yr.....

It is sold seperately, not sure about the price. The fork is black only, and weighs 1100g when cut. I got a complete Karate Monkey, but also the fork, to relieve my White Brothers in the winter.
Good luck, you'll love the fork! Do post a pic of your bike with it.

Happy trails,

J

i think that the km is an excellant choice. i haven't found another 29 disc fork out there. i don't know about the price, but i know they are pretty reasonable. you could email surly at dgray@surlybikes.com and he could tell you a m.s.r.p. price. he could tell you where you cuold find one as well

than trying to pester one of your QBP(owner of surly) friends. As a former employee of QBP I Know they aren't big fans of employee's making purchases for there friends, it takes away business away from the shops, which takes away business from QBP. Get a job in a shop, you'll cheap parts and get to work around bikes. What more could one ask for. A bike shop with a bar is about all I would ask for.
