Well we'll be riding a track back into a high Mt. lake and camping out and hoping to see a big herd of elk this weekend and the shooting stars- super solitude. And for food - Saturdays supper plan is steak, red wine, pickled green beans and mandrin oranges. I'm looking forward to it.

After a long hot rike nothing tops a large combination pizza and the biggest chocolate shake that DQ sells. Of course to earn that it takes atleast 40 miles.Preferrably more.:D

Good ride. I tell you a 47 pound pack down hill is harder than 47 up hill. Every little bump wants to pitch it over your head and it bumps your helmet and smashes your glasses into your nose. But let me tell you we got way back in - saw a four point bull a spike that was bigger than the bull also saw a cow and a calf. the clouds moved in during the night and it was pitch black and the elk bugled all night in the little valley - sometimes so close it was spooky. Never heard anthing like that ever. I wonder how all those hunters have missed this little spot - well maybe they don't work so hard for it. It was a climb back out of there but I managed to pedal all the way.:D The little creek running though the valley has gone dry except for a couple puddles and the big herons were picking off the little trout in the ponds. But is is raining in the mountains tonight so I suppose the creek will rise again and save the rest of the fish. Just a great trip. Gads I never know where my bike takes me.
