I would ride at Moraine because the chances of spotting the rare, elusive and shy Glacial Erratic are much higher there.....

A bit late for you maybe, but I rode both on two consecutive weekends last month (late August/early Sept.) and Kennerdell is much better.
Moraine is way rocky and as far as I can tell there's only one loop (purportedly 6 miles). I had a lot of trouble with it because I couldn't keep my speed up enough to get through most of the rocks, it was very tiring. Gigantic boulder fields and not enough fun. I hear it's nice if you can ride it real fast. I also hear it gets very wet, but it wasn't when I was there.
Kennerdell is not so rocky, gorgeous terrain and scenery, and has a lot more trails. We went with a map from mountainbikepittsburgh.com and we did have some troubles and got lost/off route (still on hiking trails, but not very rideable ones) for a long time. We had planned to post a ride report with more info to that site but I don't think it's happened yet.
If I recall correctly, both have a strange lack of serious uphill/downhills, though I think Kennerdell has more hills.
