If you have a mechanical on the trail....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE....do us all a favor and do it on the side of the trail. I was going down a slightly technical downhill at a pretty good clip and wouldn't you know it...two knuckleheads thought it would be a great idea if they set camp in the middle of a blind turn. Bad things, Bad things! ARRRRRGH!!!!

Good point on the trail repairs!
Another thing to point out is those people on the mass group rides... If you've got a line of 10 riders, don't just stop anywhere.. on most trails there are optimal places to take a break, not just wherever you feel like it.
So the whole point is, be considerate. Realize you're not the only one out there. And get off the trail when you're not using it!

I figured I would have to see if I could surpass Budgie and resurrect an even older Hang Out thread. I can as it turns out.

Yes, be trail aware and if you're going to ride out in the wilderness, carry the stuff you're going to need to fix flats and chain breaks so you don't have to walk back, or be mooching tubes and chain tools.

At one time I happened upon a couple getting it on in the middle of a trail bridge, no joke.
