Does anyone have one of these bikes, if so what do you think, i'm on the verge of buying one, or a rocky mountain.
Oh decisions decisions.

Hi - I've got a Juliana SL, have had it for about a year now, and I'm selling it . . . to get another! I'm upgrading the shock system (Fox and lockout on rear) and getting a larger size. I was on the cusp but decided to go for the small frame so I could "throw it around." After a year, even though the bike has worked really well for me, I've decided to get the med frame 'cause I like a long top tube. This is fun bike - I've ridden lots of others and although I've like them too, I've not found one that I've liked more than this. A superlight is a great bike - simple, perfect XC travel. Sometimes I've wished for more travel for bigger rocks etc. but I really don't need it. This is a great all around bike - as far as the Juliana goes compared with the "regular" superlight, how tall are you? If you fit the reg. superlight, I'd recommend trying them both out. As for the women's specific components, I had to get the larger "comfort" grips b/c the smaller ones were too small for me (my fingernails were hitting my palms). The Juliana seats are very comfortable for me, and I needed the smaller frame (the reg. superlight is too large). But if I were taller, I would try out the non-Juliana just because it does have a pretty short cockpit.
I've ridden other women's specific bikes and I've not liked them as well as this - the Juliana just seems lighter, more responsive, something. If it fits you, I would certainly recommend going for it - Santa Cruz is a good company. I've only hopped on a rocky mountain so I can't give an informed opinion about them, but I'd venture to guess that if weight is a concern, the superlight will be, well, lighter.
Hope this helps.
