The Chicago Area Mountain Bikers (CAMBR) is holding their 5th annual Poker Ride on Sunday, November 3rd. This is a daylong bash with group rides on some of the best local singletrack trails, followed by events, good food, good music and good beer.

On the ride, participants will get a playing card at selected points along the ride. At the end, all riders will get to pick a prize from a huge table of swag, going in order from best hand on down. Everyone gets at least one prize!

Come out and join us for our last big hurrah of the year. The event will be held from 10 am to dusk at Pulaski Woods West in the Palos Forest Preserve, Willow Springs, Illinois (about 20 minutes southwest of Chicago). Everyone is welcome, just bring a grab bag gift (around $10 value) and a cash donation.

CAMBR is an IMBA affiliated, non-profit, volunteer mountain biking advocacy group. Our mission is to promote responsible trail use, to prevent trail closings, and to maintain unpaved trails for bicycling in the Chicago area. CAMBR also seeks to promote trail cycling opportunities through stewardship, environmental and social responsibility, education, and a spirit of cooperation among all trail users, the conservation community, and governing bodies.

And if you want to help maintain local bike trails, come out to a trail workday for a few hours and meet other concienscious riders.
