I thought this guy had a cool idea for a tattoo, any of these chainrings would look cool by themselves actually. Anybody else have some good bike tattoo ideas?

Are you planning on getting a bike related tat? Do you have any yet? The chainrings are kinda groovy - but I'm not sure i'd want a permanent one.

I'd never really considered it till I saw this idea. He seems to be going a little overboard, but some of the individual rings would be cool. Maybe smaller and grouped together tightly. His site, in general, is interesting as well.

I also like looking at Bikework's chainring archive (http://www.bikecult.com/works/chainring.html) and their archive bicycles (http://www.bikecult.com/works/archive.html). Obviously I have quite a bit of time on my hands at work.

I am sorry but you have lost credibility....you can't want chain ring tattoos AND to date a christian girl. You are oil...she is vinegar...

Sounds simular to those that claim you cannot be a Christian and ride a bicycle.

Well, if I put the tattoo on the inside of my thigh I'll be safe. And, I happen to know for a fact that Jesus rides a bike - a singlespeed.

think he has spd sandals too?!??

The sandals hurt his feet, Carnac kicks down with a special "J.C." edition. The only other folks that get them are his right hand men like Jimmy Swaggart and Al Sharpton.

Can you imagine riding with Jesus?
You could huck major air and he could heal you and your bike if you crash.
You could ride on water.

I considered the riding on water thing, that would be very cool. Imagine catching air on the waves... yeah! Would he have a chainring tattoo though? I bet he originated the idea.

No road rash if you crash on the waves!

after the ride we could break bread!

I see too many chainrings. I'm thinking of a dairy cow riding over the moon or something.

I was going to do a chainring, but also a rear cog, a length of chain, and cranks. mix it up a bit.

I started drawing a similar tattoo about 2 years ago. Haven't got around to finishing it. It is going to look like a scorpion.
