I don't know, I think it's like when one half of an old couple dies... And to think that Joey went first when I think it was Dee Dee who couldn't keep his shit together well enough to stay in the band, though he continued to write Ramones songs through their last album.

dee dee was the most "punk rock" punker of all time. now 1/2 of my favorite band are gone. dee dee is now finally on an "endless vacation."
