I've been looking for a new seatpost for my bike, but can't seem to find the size anywhere locally. I started checking out the net, but still can't seem to find one. It's a 30.6. Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you positive its a 30.6? Where's that number coming from? What's the frame?

I like your car I bet, or your motorcycle. Either one in fact....

Checked at my lbs at lunchtime. They've got no listing for a 30.6 in the QBP catalog. 31.6 maybe? 30.8?

Hey Wooglin, thanks for trying to help out. I'm positive it's 30.6. My frame is a mongoose rockadile(a few years old)I've seen some seat posts where I could buy a 30.6 shim to fit the frame. Have you dealt with anything like this? Is it worth a try?As far as bmw72

Yah mon. I saw my first seatpost shim a few weeks ago. I looked at it and thought that's a lot of $$ for something I could make with a beer can and a pair of shears <hint, hint>.

Duct tape is for pussies.

I shimmed a pair of XT cranks in 1991 and was still riding them until this past year. You really have to use a can from a good beer, one that you like to drink... It's all about the soul of the matter.

I don't know if you ever found your post, but I was cruising eBay this morning, looking for Syncros posts and saw two listings for 30.6 aluminum versions.
