GF big rig

dunno if this has been covered under the feedback board but the blurb on the GF 29er SS was the ultimate TEASE!
no further info on GF site, saw some rumblings about price on other boards but damn! I need more info!
Web master: When does DR get one to test? is it already parked out back and getting thrashed about? the geared MTB is already up for sale [and in Canadian $$$ too - it's like pretend money] and once it sells a nice 29 er SS would [hopefully] take it's place. The big rig looks like a pretty good deal, would just like to see a review of it before layin' down the cake on it.

That bike caught my attention too. I even stopped to read about it while carrying a heavy leather chair. If I didn't already have a GF Sugar 293 (thx mom) I'd be tempted to blow my recently acquired 600 bucks towards it. As it is though I'm trying to branch out a little bit. Can't decide where to put my money. A longer travel FR bike... a hardtail FR/DJ bike... a ridged singlespeed... a fixie track bike... ARGH! Too many choices. BMX and MUni for kicks?

And recently I've been getting interested in skateboarding again...
Thankfully there isn't a lot to spend money on for Ultimate Frisbee :o

bad news on the Fisher Rig front: called the bike shop that I had reserved one through (velocipede pedler, east lansing mi) and the manager called trek about availability dates. i had been told sept. 17th, it now appears that Rigs won't be shipped anytime before dec. as there are problems with setting up production of the EBB. since I am patience-free I will be ordering a Karate Monkey this week. must...have...big...wheels...now!!!

p.s. this was for the large size frame and I think applies to all sizes.

You won't be disappointed with the Monkey. I have one and LOVE it!!!!! Make sure you run the fat WTB Mono Raptors on it.

Thanks for mentioning that; my dealer said they would be around Sept 20th, and hadn't spoke to him for a week or so.
