What do you prefer for new england riding. That K2 Big Boy XL 26er inthe lastest issue of DR or GF 292? I am of similar weight and height. Don't race.

The Fisher is a bit more racy if you ask me, based on the lightness and size of the wheels and the bit of flexyness you can get in the front end (In technical turning situations) due to the size of the wheels and the length of the fork. But the 29er wheels seem to stick real well to wet roots and other New Engish type shiggy. And you'll love the big wheels on smooth flat dirt.
The K2 Lithium is going to be much better if you like to jump of ledges and the like. Or if you're riding the roots at bike-breaking speeds you'll dig it. And the travel is adjustable 4 to 5 inches. It's just more burly.
So it depends on what kind of riding you do. What kind of riding do you do?

Don't race. 205lbs 6'3". 34 inch inseam, wacky 26 inch top tube 29er. Riding style is long mid pace 15 mile laps of coral rock, rooty s florida trails, although since my 29er is s & s equiped, I rode the Snowshoe Norba downhill final trail the week BEFORE it opened. (Ok I got lost and desperate for the last shuttle).

Hey, that's not New England riding! What kind of bike are you riding now? i don't think you can get a fisher or K2 with that long a top tube.
