I'm planning on converting my current ride to a SS. As usual, money is an issue. Looking for a rigid fork and SS crankset (180mm). I'm going to use my GT frame for right now, but would prefer an actual SS frame. Anyone want to sell a decent steel SS frame? Would need to be for a tall guy, 6'4".

Why do you need a rigid fork? Why an SS crankset? And why an SS frame? Is the GT frame not built as a gearie? Virtually all of the parts on it will be needed on the SS. For a conversion you need a cog ($10), a chain ($10), and some new crank bolts. Maybe a tensioner, maybe brake levers. You'll really appreciate the stiffness of that GT as an SS.

But, a Monocog frame/fork can be had for $115 from jensonusa.com, and a 1x1 frame/fork can be had for $275 from aebikes.com. Or spicer can put an EBB on your steel GT for $100.
