Anybody Have Suggestions For Front And Rear Fenders For My Karate Monkey? Things Have Started To Get A Bit Muddy Up Here In The Wolverine State And I'm Starting To Sport Brown Stripes. Easy On/off Is Important. I See Many Choices In 26" Profile, But Not Much For 700c In Wide Widths. Help.

For the front, try one that straps on the downtube - I've got a Zefal. For the rear, try one of the seatpost mounts - back there I'm using a Headland.
Easy on, easy off, and they provide a lot more protection than you might think. And they are pretty cheap too.

While shopping for a new road bike I came across this:

I think that's enough to sell me!

Neither of these suggestions are quick installation/removal...
On the rear, you could use a rear rack and attach a plastic splash guard (cut from a plastic bottle and attach with twisties or zip-ties). A rack has the bonus that can also haul stuff. A rack will keep the skunk off your back, but your lower legs will still get spray.
What kind of fork do you have on your Monkey?
I have a Cannondale with a Headshock... none of the convention (Headland) front fenders will attach because my steering tube is not hollow... (that is where the air spring and damper are). Anyways, Nashbar had a returned Headland front fender on sale for $5.00... bought it and made a custom bracket to mount the fender... ugly but functional. Relatively dry feet on wet, 35 degree day trump cold wet feet!
The Headland fenders have a pretty generous radius, they might fit a 700C wheel without much problem. You can always bend the OEM bracket if things are tight, or make your own bracket.
Notes on the picture... the bike also has low-riders installed, these are independent of the fenders... also, I added a mudflap to extend the coverage of the rear fender... used a piece of clear, 2 liter bottle....

I use planet bike freddy fenders (clip ons) on a Surly Crosscheck (mtn bike model) . The fenders come in mtb or road styles. The back fender clips on and the front fender comes off with a twist of a nut.

Front zip ties to your down tube, rear fixes to your seat post, not QR and not perfect but better than nothing, getting the rear at the right height on your post is essential, also have extended my rear by about 5 inches by drilling and zipping and old rear section on, perfect for my Spot 29er commuter ;)
