Oh, I'm sorry. I guess that was kind of mean.
My buddy and I got a kick out of that but I guess we got a little carried away.
I hope we didn't offend anybody.
Just ignore the post and it will get burried, or admin will delete it.

I sent this to my wife and she thought it was funny...in an Archie Bunker kind of way. I guess for every person that you make laugh you will run the risk of offending even more.

Some people might find it funny, but some people might be offended by it. There's other forums for that kind of humor.
Huh? Chauvinism is so outdated it's not really offensive anymore. It's just boring.

Well yeah. This is the kind of humor that me and a college buddy came up with after nearly tanking a case of Tucher Weizen and watching 2 streight hours of Married with Children.
Normally I'd be a little more clever.

Psst........Dave. Your in the women's room. Oh wait a minute so am I :o
The offensive picture was somehow deleted w/o deleting the whole thread. Hard to believe anyone even came close to taking that one seriously.
What's sad is that this is the only thread in this place.

I took it seriously because I don't like to see women belittled, even jokingly. I work with women who break stereotypes 8 hours a day. I respect them too much to let that slide.

Maybe it's because we don't see men or women, black or white, straight or gay in this forum. All we see are riders.

Well, that gives me a "we are the world" feeling, but I've got to say that such benevolent statements make me rather suspicious after dealing with . . . people. Hm. I never got to see the picture, but not to worry. I can imagine it. Yeah, Divscotty, this is the quiet site, isn't it? Hm, I've got to come up with some valid chit chat . . .

Thanita, I'm totally serious. This thing we all share in being cyclists is so much bigger (at least to me) than all of our differences that when I come to the forum, I check all that other crap at the door. Didn't used to always be like that, I know, but cycling has given me so much; so enriched my life, that I feel bound to conduct myself with compassion, humility and discipline as a means of giving back to the sport. I'm even learning to lighten up just a little. I guess one is never to old to learn.

When the women's room first showed up I thought Cool... Then as time went by I put most my posting in the other forums.
So I thought hmm... why have the Womens Forum, BUT then when I had my surgery and a couple other issues that were such women specific questions and so forth I think it is a proper place for some topics. Thus, people that don't care to read through those topics can simply avoid this area - similar to my avoidance of the politics forum. Therefore, I don't feel bad if the area is idle for awhile.
Some of the best support I received when I had my surgery was from men in the Women's Forum. Some men are secure with the topics here, some are not. That is not good nor bad - it is just as it is.
I miss angelocondito he was an original forum member that was good at keeping things fresher. I know he sent the administrator off on occasion but that was ok (are the sparkly pinky rings ready yet? LOL)
I chit chat with the entire group in the other forums.
