I'm going to build up a KM with only one gear and I would like to know about some good 29'' rims and if the 29'' Reba Fork from RockShox would be good or if I should just stick to the rigid fork that the KM comes with.

I use Salsa Delgado rims, which are a cyclocross rim, but pretty much any road rim will do the job. Just make sure you go with enough spokes. I weigh 170, and a 32 3x build works well. I think a Mavic MA3 or Open Pro would also make a great, reasonably inexpensive wheel. As for the fork, the Reba is brand new, so you won't get much feedback on it. The two White Bros offerings have been around for a while and work great. I picked up a used WB CX1, which is now discontinued, for around $200 and am real happy with it. I also rode the KM fork for a bit, and found it very harsh. But I'm old, so ymmv.

I have customers on the new Rebas and the feedback I have received is that the fork performs exceptionally well. I checked them out myself in the shop and while the rebound damping adjustment slows the fork down just enough at the slowest setting, the forks feel great, and super stiff. No more pre-worn bushings like rock shox past.
Open pros work well, but the A719 touring rim is the best by mavic for strength in my experience. I have one customer that likes them in 36 hole with DT Rev spokes 3X. This makes a real strong light wheel for a 200+# rider. I would personally build it in 32 with DT Comp spokes 3X for way more lateral strength. Or DT Revs for racing.
I personally ride 28 hole XTR hubs with Open Pros DT Revs front 3X, DT Comps rear 2X nondrive 3X drive this wheelset is insanely bombproof and light.
I have yet to build any of the new DT 29er rims but they have a 540 gram rim for 29ers that looks really really nice. I know Gravy at Gravywheels has used them and he likes the DT's a lot.

i've been riding a reba myself for a while now, they're really a nice fork. Rock shox finally got their shit together on this one. i agree with the gravety420 on the wheelset, that sound like a killer set up. if, however, you don't have an extra $800 or so dollars for that particular wheelset, xt hubs laced to salsa delgado rims with dt 2.0-1.8's are a nice, fairly light, cost effective alternitive. i've laced several sets like these for various customers and they hold up to multi-condition riding very well, all at a price most people can afford. My next racing wheelset is going to be all dt. their new rims are really nice. the r.r1 is a great road rim, they build up really nice and are just gorgeous. i put a lot of stress on the set i have now, and i'm sure they'll be fine for a set of racing wheels. so they'll be dt 240 hubs front and rear, revolution spokes, pro loc nipples, and competion spokes laced on the drive side. should come out to about 1,500 total grams of swiss made goodness. your thoughts gravity420?
ps, the touring rims from dt weigh 540g's the road rims weigh 415g's. you'd have to watch them closer, but what a difference that would make.

I recently built a set of XT disc hub/WTB dual duty 29" rim wheels that have been absolutely great. Decently light, tough, and smooth rolling. I also have built a set of WTB laserdisc lite/Salsa Delgado rims that a super light (for 29" wheels) and have been durable thus far.
As far as forks go, we're all kind of limited. I, also, have little feedback knowledge about the 29er Reba. however, I have a marzocchi on my '02 Mt. tam 29er and it's been running really well. I also just bought and installed a Winwood Carbon 29" fork on my SS. Coil/oil with compression adjustment and lockout. It has aluminum lowers wrapped in carbon ( slick looking) and seems really nice so far.
