This idea worked for Redline, why not SE Racing?

29" PK Ripper??? Now that would be super cool.
Doesn't look to bad - until I spotted the singleator. they need to commit!

While I was watching the guys teach themselves about varying sizes of 27" rims and tires for my SS buildup, the owner tried to sell me on a SE that they had left over from intrabike Las Vegas.... they looked ok at best--frame with kinda lame graphics + stickers and paint color and the drive line chain ring[s] I test rode 3 of them wobbled like an egg, the cog either "slipped" or the chain wasn't seating in the teeth or the chain rings were..... with really hard pedals, the stock seat was really cheesey-- they did have mounts for disks though brakes were pretty decent- forget what variety.. BUT I liked the feel of the 29" ride, thought it handled around the steps and turns remarkbly well...I could buy them right now for 350.$ but I wont ;) just my .02 DD.

Owner, whom I've known for some time, was saying that SE shipped him a truckload by mistake then would'nt arrange for complete return... told shop to get what ya can....I believe the normal sale price is around 500... its not that bad of a bike, really, I damn near went for one... had it not been for those chain rings and the rear cog slip or chain stick or whatever it was....DD, why Dave- you interested in that?

I'd be interested - only issue is the cross border BS being in Canada and all. [Ottawa]
Where exactly is the LBS that has them?

Dave, the name of the shop is Las Vegas Cyclery, its on Charleston Ave. It used to be called "Escape the
City Streets" IA'll be going over there tomorrow to exhange the stuff they sold me that doesn't work together....I'll be happy to inquire or even purchse for ya if you think that its worth it... you can PM me or gimme a call at home tonight 1-702-396-0034.. I may be even able to get him to knock some more$ off He's anxious to get rid of them... part of the reason I backed away...

I would love to have a 4x race bike similar to the SE! But, the pictures I've seen so far seem to show HUGe chainstay lengths. Are production frames that way as well? The bend in the seattube never made sense to me the way it was done. I could live with the singleator setup myself.
BTW, SE never replied to my email, I waited patiently for months.

Cloxxki I saw thosse looooooooonnnnnngggggg chinstays also. If this bike was arounf the same price as a Monocog I wouldn't care about the stay length.
It is interesting to see the growth of 29er's from high end only to cheap knock offs.

I can see myself rounding some berms really fast with that baby, but manuals...hardly worth trying. To make a 29" BMX work, I would prescribe a very tight fitting rear tire, in 420-430mm chainstays. With single chainring, it can be done! And I'd be SO over it, actually, I would already have taken up my 4x this season already, now the Morphine is catching dust.
