Everyone please post a pick of you bicycle! We ride them everyday through rain and snow so why not show your pride in your ride. I'm sure we all have a great bikes so lets see yours.
This is my Commuter, I know its a bit nice for a daily ride but I love riding it so much. I bought the best lock I could and i inshured my bike too. I lock it good and hope for the best. Sometimes I put fenders and a rack on it but not in this pic.

Yea, I decided why spend 3grand on a cheap car when I could spend it on the best bike. I spent half a year saving up to get a custom headshock built merlin. I love my bike! I know sometime sooner or later someone will try to steal or vandalize my bike but untill that day comes im going to ride fast and have a SWEET BIKE (its inshured)! Im about to go ride in about 10 min. See Ya , Erik Carlson.

If you used that as commuter round our way you wouldn't be a happy rider for long. I purposely paint or cover mine with stickers, or use older classics like my bridgestone to detur theives. We're kind of in an urban setting.

I have been using it for about under a year to commute to school and work and no one has messed with it. If you park it in a visible area would anyone really mess with it? But i know what you mean, Why cant we just trust people and enjoy riding sweet bikes?

This is my Fuji Touring 2001 that i bought around this time last year for 500 off of ebay, which at the time was about 3/4 of a months paycheck from working full time at the evil fast food place Wendy's. ( Dont trust potatoes or chicken an hour or two before they close).
its a little nice for a commuter, but after i wrecked my last touring bike, which i mentioned in a post, my 12 speed pacific premier touring bike, it kinda blew riding my mountian bike 12 miles each way to work. That and i bought this as my vechile to ride accross the country, which i was going to do in May, but I fell in love with one of my managers, and were still togethor a year later.

The tires in those photos are 32c Avocet Cross II tires. Since the photos I switched to these great Ritchey CrossMax 35c tires that are chunkier and just a tad wider. They are real cool, they have reflective sidewalls. I got them for $15 out of Harris Cycler's bin of take off tires

Here is my do-everything ride. 30-some pounds of pure indestructibility.

my bike (http://www.geocities.com/portusjacksonii/portusjacksonii.html)

I got the frame used years ago; everything else has long since died a violent death and been replaced. I know it's kind of oogly at the moment, but I'm not so good at keeping ahead of the snow-salt-slush-rain-mud cycle that is winter commuting in Pittsburgh.

cheers,

timmer
