Hello everyone,
I need some feedback on these pedals. I've read that they shed mud pretty well. I have experience some problems with my other Shimano pedals. Please let me know how well they work. The Pros and cons. Is it worth spending the top dollars?
Thanks

If you are really concerned about shedding mud, I would go with Time or Crank Brothers - the 959 (in my humble opinion) doesn't clear as well as these. Lyne Bessette (http://www.cyclocrossworld.com/riders/bots_bessette.htm) seems content with 959's, but she gets them for free.

I forgot to mention that my winter shoes (Gaerne Polars) only work with SPDs. I'm hoping that the 959s shed mud better than the other shimano pedals. Again, thanks for the feedback.

I may be a little late in my reply, but I have used 959's for a year now in heavy mud and most all conditions (the worst was the 24 Hours of Snowshoe, alot of slogging through mud and getting back on the bike to ride.)They work fine for me. I have had no problems in mud or anything else.
Having said that, I did find that if mud gets packed in the cleat pocket of your shoe and dries or is thick (clay) I have had to sorta stomp on the pedals to clean out the pocket before I could clip in but this scenario is rare.

Thanks for the reply Duckman.
I have not yet bought the pedals. The Holidays made a huge dent on the wallet. So it is not too late for more reponses.
Thanks
