Hey all. My name is Jamie and I am a Industrial Design student. I am working on my thesis project, which is a bike designed for a commuter. I've been a avid mountain biker since my early teens. I now commute to school about 3 miles one way in downtown Cleveland and have numerous complaints about the accessories I've bought (i.e. fenders, bags, locks etc.) for my commute. Im looking for any kind of feedback from fellow bicycle commuters so I can design a better bike for us all. Anything goes, being tips on frame modifications, accessories, personal gripes on commute issues etc. All feedback is welcome! My mail is domitri@mailcity.com if you wanna write a long mail without having to post. Thanks for your help!

Forgot to mention. I grew up in the burgh and hit my first trail there (Deer Lakes Park). I moved out to C-town about 4 years ago for school. No damn trails anywhere. Still rootin for the Stillers of course.

I would say make a Ti commuter with mountain bike geometry and some how make it theft proof!? If I could improve anything on my commuter it would be: Locking Valve caps, ummm? I guess my bike is what I would call the ideal commuter other then the fact that It could be stolen? Oh yea I think it should have a shock that can lock out and the frame should either be a piece of junk that can get dirty or a Titanium that can hold up. Good luck man ill try to think of a better Idea, Give it 3 sets of wheels/tires (mountain, road slicks, and studded snow tires) that can be swaped out, also a detachable front and rear fender and rack.
