it's been a long time

I only have faint memories of raquette lake. The last time I was actually there was when I was 12 or something. But I have been to a few other places up there since. It is a beautiful area, dotted with lakes and mountains.

The thing with the adirondaks is that it is some sort of state managed private land hybrid thingy(to be technical). So this supposedly makes it very MTB accessable. Some other bike mag had a write up on it. Inlet and the folks at PetalsandPetals have started a MTB initiative to let people know there are trails and many of the towns seem interested.

And apparently there are tons of trails. Here is a link.

The whiteface trails in Lake placid were great, sorry you missed the wigger. Some lung busting climbs, and when I was done ridin' I took one last run down the Mt all the way to the KOA where I was staying, jumped off a little cliff into the river and took a swim.
