FOUND>>>>>>>>>ISO 21.1mm alloy quill stem

Oddball and a long shot but gotta ask..........FYI, the standard vintage stem dia. is 22.2 and there is a few oddball 21.1's floating around out there.

I'm rebuilding an '83 Schwinn LeTour mixte and I had to cut the old stem off and drill it out to remove..........apparently the '83 LeTours were manufactured with a greater wall thickness on the fork steerer tube as were some others.

Not mine:

from: http://mmba.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=94205

"MTS-100 95mm stem and MTB-101 steel riser MTB bars. The bars are 23” wide and the quill insertion is the smaller .833”(21.1mm) size. This came from a mid-80’s MTB. $20"

Thanks for the heads up transplant...........was looking for a road stem, but I did find a Fuji Touring Series IV on that list in my size.

Public thanks to transplant for helping me find the stem I needed...........I bought the touring frame from the guy in the link and he dug up a stem for me as well.

Thanks..............tb
