Holiday musings
So the rear wheel on my Pista is trashed, leaving my fixed monstercross bike as my transportation. I thought I might get a wheel for xmas and was looking on Bike Island to see what I could get for cheap. Then I saw that they sell a Sturmey Archer SX-3 wheelset for $250. 36 spokes, 3 speeds, and fixed. Just what I need for the monstercross. So, I'm thinking of ordering up a set for the 'cross bike and donating it's wheels to the Pista. Could be sweet
I'll keep you in the loop.

Upon further reflection, it has an 18 mm rim. What would be the upper end of wide that wouldn't roll?

Dubious veracity...
Without pics, it's all hypothetical.
Pie in the sky.
Dubious at best.
Hint, hint...

Oh, you'll see. I also ordered a 700c fork that will accept up to 2.1's and disc, and have access to a digital camera now. You just wait until that big brown truck shows up

Now I'm waiting for a big brown truck The package apparently arrived to Richmond yesterday, shortly after midnight. It seems they are just going to hold off on delivering them until the 2nd. GRRRR

Its together, assembled, and functional. The gear spacing isn't as wide as I would have liked, which rules out a commuting, trail and bail out gear, but it works for getting to the trail and riding it. With the larger tires and disc brakes it makes the perfect schorcher. I'll see if I can't work out some pictures.

So I picked up a new phone the other day, which should help with getting photos online. I've been snowed in away from home, but will try for some pics tomorrow.
