Interbike 2004
Dirt Demo | A Class-DT Swiss | Ellsworth-Hayes | Intense-Marzocchi | Maverick-Scott | Shimano-Yakima

The Interbike Dirt Demo is a valuable resource for shop employees and journo-types to ride bikes that are well out of their price range on some fine desert terrain. Held at Bootleg anyon, there is a network of XC trails, a few different DH runs with shuttle service, a cyclocross course, a BMX track and a set of dirt jumps.

The BMX course was utilitzed by both mountain and BMX bikes all day long.

After waiting in line and boarding in proper cow-like fashion, the truck rambled up to the top of the downhill test runs. Then you walked your bike up to the very top, bombing back into the Dirt Demo area.

Kona sponsored the dirt jump area of the Dirt Demo. Clump riders were on hand to wow you, and people with adequate skills were welcome to try out given bikes on course.

The cross country course saw most of the action. With one, two and three mile courses, there was plenty of real estate to play on. There are even a few secret-handshake rides out there if you're looking for a longer loop.

Luckily for those who needed it, an EMT was on hand to dress wounds. Luckily, there was helicopter action this year.
