Bikes For Boy Scouts
By: Andrew O’Reilly

Schwinn Bicycles plans to give one thousand bicycles to the Boy Scouts of America for their annual Boy Scouts Jamboree. The bikes are to be used as transportation around the 3,000 acre Jamboree site.
The Jamboree will take place between July 25 and August 3, 2005 in Caroline County, Virginia and is expected to be attended by 35,000 scouts, 5,000 leaders and 60,000 visitors.
"Schwinn and Scouting share a legacy of American heritage, and we're excited about the relationship we've forged with the Boy Scouts of America," said Schwinn's director of marketing Mo Moorman.
Schwinn is also planning an advertising campaign that targets the more then 6.9 million readers of Boy’s Life magazine, the official magazine of the Boy Scouts.

In other cycling news, American Bobby Julich won the 63rd Paris-Nice race this weekend followed by Constantino Zaballa and Alejandro Valverde respectively.
