2006 Punk Bike Enduro Report and Photo Gallery

Unlike last year's Punk Bike Enduro—when the frost was on the punk kin—this year's event saw the mercury creep up into the mid-40s. The relatively mild conditions brought out a crowd of around 175 riders, who were treated to stellar trail conditions—with the exceptions of a few notorious muck holes that provided boisterous entertainment for the spectators who gathered to enjoy the muddy carnage.
Speaking of spectating, check out the Dirt Rag Gallery, where I've posted over 80 photos of the day's festivities. Be sure to check the gallery early and often, as I'm sure the Dirt Rag staff will add some eye candy as soon as they get a chance to upload their photos.
In summary, trails were ridden, stages were raced, puddles were splashed, kegs were emptied, plates were licked clean, points were tallied and awards were given. Your 2006 women's and men's champions: Carol Clemens and Dan Wilson—a pair of young, strong racers from Dirt Rag's backyard. Thanks to Fox Racing Shox, Carol and Dan are both sporting brand new suspension forks.
