Colorado State Parks Opens Its First Bike Park
By: Karl Rosengarth

More than 300 riders showed up at the grand opening of the Corral Center Bike Park at Lory State Park (near Fort Collins) on Saturday, June 16th. The all-new 70,000 square foot state-of-the-art mountain bike park is the first bike park in a Colorado State Park. Now visitors to Lory State Park can enjoy the skills riding area, pump track and dirt jumps—in addition to some of the best mountain biking trails in the state.

Lory State Park will be hosting the fourth annual "Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day" on Saturday, Oct. 6th where visitors can enjoy a day of guided trail rides, bicycle safety, bicycle maintenance and fun. This event is hosted by Diamond Peaks Mountain Bike Patrol, and is sponsored by International Mountain Biking Association.
